Deepa Shahi

Deepa’s work experience can be described as comprising two distinct parts: the first approximately eighteen years involved climbing the corporate ladder. The second and more current is as a coach, mentor, trainer and consultant working closely with individuals and teams from varied organizations.

Right from the first day she joined HSBC as a management trainee all the way fifteen years later to running a division of the bank, Deepa amassed (often the hard way) a fair amount of expertise in dealing with different and difficult people. She also managed different sized teams, set up new processes and business lines, trained entire departments and successfully led teams through major transformations.

A stint with an executive search firm brought with it an awareness of how much she enjoyed interacting with the senior decision-makers across a wide range of organizations, helping them understand the type of person they needed for that key position, and then finding the right fit.

Subsequent freelance assignments involved working closely with business heads and heads of non-profits as their consultant/advisor/trainer and mentor.

Irrespective of the size of the organization or its complexity, Deepa came to realize how very critical coaching, mentoring, and the right kind of training can be at different stages of our working lives.

She now lives in Singapore, where with the help and guidance of some incredibly amazing people she has now added accredited coach, trainer facilitator and mentor to her repertoire.
