Debby Lewis
As a Biological Sciences graduate I spent 13 years in the pharmaceutical industry working within sales, marketing and management. I left in 2000 to work full time in the area of training and development with a wide range of different organisations and sectors.
I feel very strongly that Managers are typically promoted because of their technical or commercial success; they are “good at the day job”. However this doesn’t always equip them for a role in which they have to manage others. My particular focus is on the ‘People dimension’, helping managers and leaders to get the most from their colleagues at all levels by improving their skills in all areas, including interpersonal communication, self-awareness, team building, and problem solving. Thereby helping them, together with their teams to be successful and resilient in an increasingly challenging workplace.
I have worked widely in Europe, the USA and Canada and am a qualified practitioner of the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), the Margerison-McCann Team Management Profile and the PRISM Brain Mapping Instrument.
When not working I am loving my new hobby of Nordic Walking; keeping fit whilst enjoying our glorious urban green spaces.
